Lumenier is a designer and manufacturer of high-end quadcopter products, from air frames to electronics to accessories to more. Their merchandise is used among many drone racing pilots, as well as the drone enthusiast crowd.
In order to achieve the greatest acceleration in racing, well designed, high-quality propellers are needed. On June 14, Lumenier announced 5 new styles of propellers, each with the intended purpose of being used in the FPV racing scene.
“Realizing there were only a few original prop designs for small multi-rotors and many clones of these same designs, we went out to engineer truly original, efficient, and durable multi-rotor propellers,” says Tim Nilson, founder and owner of Lumenier. “Our new prop designs raise the bar of multi-rotor propeller engineering.”
Lumenier brought prop design back to the basics before even starting work on their new products. Each style has its own unique airfoils and blade design, useful in different scenarios based on flight speed, blade rpm, and numerous other factors. These changes will lead to subtle improvements to a racer’s performance, and when stacked upon other innovations will lead to drastic boosts to each pilots’ abilities.
Created out of tough, glass-reinforced polycarbonate material, the current propeller line Lumenier is launching with includes different variations on 4″ and 5″ props. Later on, they will be releasing more variations, increasing drone design choice and utility.
